As the Information Systems Technician, Charles Hennings implements best DoD IT security practices which he has gained from serving 6 years as an IT professional for the United States Air Force. Charles coordinates the UA-ARC’s IT requirements with the university’s IT, both Internet Service Providers, Mission Service Providers, IT Auditing representatives, and DISA to ensure an exceptional and compliant workspace is available for our stakeholders.

Charles is pursuing his Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance at Western Governors University. During his enlistment, he has earned the following certifications; A+, Network+, Security+, CEH, CNDA, and ITILv4.

Georgine Speranzo joined the UA-Applied Research Corporation as Executive Assistant in March 2019. She provides general administrative support to the UA-ARC team.

Prior to joining the UA-ARC, she worked at the University of Arizona where she gained experience in both academic and administrative departments. 

Georgine is an alumna of Penn State University (French/English) and the University of Arizona (Linguistics/Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences).  She has lived and worked in Tucson more than 20 years.

Ryan Searfoss joined the UA-ARC team November 2021 as an Administrative Assistant. Pulling from his work experience with Northern Arizona University, he will help with several projects and assignments including planning events/meetings, keeping track of documents, and general assistance in helping the organization meet its goals.

He is an alumnus of Northern Arizona University’s W.A. Franke College of Business and has plans to pursue a master’s degree with the University of Arizona.
